Sometimes life seems nothing more than an overwhelming succession of loss and/or excessive demands. In such situations, the messages I receive through mediumship are always about finding an inner state of love.
“You cannot change what is happening in the world. Being full of negative emotions does not help you or anyone else. What you can do is put yourself in a state of love and inner peace.”
“You think you need solutions to find inner peace. The opposite is true – you need inner peace to find solutions. Love is the key to inner peace.”
“Think of the two sides of a coin. One side of the coin reflects the earthly side of life, the other side reflects the spiritual side of life. Whatever emotions prevail on the earthly side of life, the spiritual side always shows love.”
“Shifting your awareness to love has helped you deal with your grief (blog post Nov. 2022, Growing Pains). Now take it one step further. First, shift your awareness to love. Next, love your sadness, your fear, or whatever emotion you are feeling. When you cannot feel love, love the cannot-feel-love feeling. This is how your sadness, your fear, etc. transform into love – you become love.”
How we can nourish love
Recently, in my Inspired Writing group, I was inspired to write the following words. These are not thoughts that my mind creates. They come when I let go of thinking and focus on feeling. I like to describe this as being intentionally unintentional.
“Love gives us strength, both physically and emotionally. It gives meaning to life, fills your heart with joy and nourishes your body, your mind, and your soul. You can feel love and yet it eludes your grasp. If you try to capture it, you will lose it. Love needs freedom to thrive. You can nurture love through creative expression. Painting, drawing, writing, singing, dancing, playing music… find something that gives you joy.”
